Δεν είναι μυστικό πως οι σταρ ζουν ζωές γεμάτες λάμψη, ταξίδια, ασφυκτικά προγράμματα και φωτογράφους που τους ακολουθούν παντού.

Κάποιοι ίσως να εύχονταν, έστω για λίγο, να γίνουν αόρατοι — να πιούν έναν καφέ στη γειτονιά τους χωρίς να τους «πιάσει» ο φακός. Κι άλλοι, όπως οι Daft Punk, το πήγαν ένα βήμα παραπέρα: έγιναν κυριολεκτικά ανώνυμοι.

Για περισσότερα από 30 χρόνια, το γαλλικό ντουέτο της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής κατάφερε να παραμείνει ένα μυστήριο. Υπήρχαν όμως και εκείνοι που ευχήθηκαν να μην είχαν δει ποτέ τις φωτογραφίες. «Ήθελα πάντα να μάθω πώς είναι. Τώρα εύχομαι να μπορούσα να το ξεχάσω», έγραψε ένας χρήστης. Ένας άλλος πρόσθεσε: «Για μένα είναι σχεδόν καταραμένη εικόνα. Οι Daft Punk διέλυσαν το 2019, μετά από σχεδόν τρεις δεκαετίες κοινής πορείας. Ο Bangalter, που έχει εμφανιστεί και χωρίς τη μάσκα του στο παρελθόν, μίλησε το 2023 στους New York Times εξηγώντας πως ήρθε η ώρα να γυρίσει σελίδα.

«Οι προτεραιότητές μου το 2023 είναι με το μέρος των ανθρώπων, όχι των μηχανών. Δεν έχω καμία διάθεση να είμαι ρομπότ πια», είπε χαρακτηριστικά.

Από τους «Darlin’» στο θρύλο των Daft Punk
